Eagle County real estate had 79 sales transactions in February with $67M in dollar volume. This is the fewest number of transactions since January 2010; and the lowest dollar volume in any month since 2013. Overall, Eagle County lags 2015 dollar volume by 25% and number of transactions by 8%.
Gypsum and Eagle had the most transactions with 13 and 11 respectively followed by Avon and Vail Village with 6 transactions each.
Vail Village was the area with the highest sales volume with $17,487,000 accounting for 26% of the County’s total volume and also boasted the highest priced sale in February at $7.1M.
New construction sales contributed 10 transactions to the February numbers, including 4 at Two Rivers Village in Dotsero.
February sales showed 73% were under $1M, and one-half of those sales under $1M were under $500,000.
